In 2018, we sold it all and hit the road in an RV. A dream of mine was to write and photograph professionally but I had nothing to show. So, I started a blog. I wrote about travel, living debt free and personal finance.
When I felt I had a decent amount of work, I pitched an article and mentioned I could capture and edit my own photos and also that I had a photo I thought was cover worthy. To my surprise, after my first article, they made me a “writer on the road” and began paying me to write a monthly article. They also published my first cover and eventually three more. For me, this was a dream come true and I’m so grateful for the experience that started with a blog.
After six years of traveling full time, we decided to settle down near where we grew up in Michigan’s Thumb, and I decided to pursue a degree in English and to write fiction.
